Strop sprays on printer paper. How do you use it?

Sun Nov 10, 2013 7:23 pm

I've been spraying my sprays on strops with them laying on printer paper per info on this and other forums. This is so you have the paper to use when you run out of spray I believe. So what do you do with it? I'm thinking just laying the paper on a strop or stone or wrappiing the paper around a stone to keep it in place. Is this how to do it? I have thought about sending some of these sheets to friends so they can try the sprays but I want to tell them how to use them. With my normal usage I'll have these same bottles for a long long time and don't need to worry about running out.

Thanks for any help.

Just wrap it around your strop or a piece of glass and tape it into place.

A bottle of spray should last you a very long time , even if you occasionally add some to a stone.

Yes, tape one end to a glass plate or granite piece and do edge trailing strokes.

You can also cut up ~ 1 inch squares and use it for polishing surfaces that are curved.

Also you can put it over softer surfaces like a notebook or piece of neoprene for more convex edges.

For a nice touch use some business cards for overspray and send out your business card as mini strops :)
