Hi,

I was planning on picking up a Konosuke HD2 270 gyuto, and was wondering if you could recommend me a strop, since I don't know much about it. I normally use a fine stone when my knife loses it's edge, but have been thinking about moving on to use a strop to increase the lifespans of my knives. Also, how much longer will the 270 gyuto be on sale? Is it a time thing or a stock thing?

Best regards,
JT

Hi JT,

This strop set gives you everything you need to maintain your edges. Simply spritz the balsa every 3-4 time you use it. Strop on that a few times on each side and then switch to the horse leather strop and you can use that with no compound. It works really well.
