We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

What are your thoughts on doing kitchen knives with the following stones and progression. Starting out using just the Atoma plates up to the 1200, finishing with the Shapton Glass Stone 2K, for an all around good home kitchen knife.

It will work very well!
You won't need anything more.
Just use very, very light strokes on the final passes on the 2k - the final 2 x passes per blade side must be a stropping motion.

Was hoping that would be a good all around choice. I have started only using stropping like motions on the higher grits, but it is hard to remember the very light pressure part.

When i switch from the atomas to the shaptons i go from the 1200 atoma and drop down to the 1000 shapton. I find going that little bit lower really helps remove thediamond scratch pattern
