Anyhow, I missed your squash question. It depends on the size of the squash, but probably 10-15 longer.
AS for the "badass wa". What I was saying was that the AS-Kanehiro is a badass... and that it is a Wa. Not that Wa handles are badass. Wa vs Yo is a preference. Most people who pinch grip prefer Wa's, and those who rock cut prefer Yo's... generally speaking.
As for your Kyoceras, I'd be willing to fix them for you if you need.
