Slurry stones

Shapton puts out several slurry stones. Are these helpful? Meaningless? At only about 5 bucks a piece it's not a wallet breaker just wondering if anyone has more success with them or without them.

They are tomo naguras basically. Small versions of the Pro stones. They speed up the sharpening, but I like finishing on a clean stone anyway as I find it gives a nicer edge. They are nice when a stone glazes and you want to clean it without using diamond plates.
