I'm looking for a good honesuki knife, and i was looking at the shun blue or the masakage yuki. If i could get your thoughts on the two, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

These are really two different animals. Both are nice knives and the Shun blue steel is perhaps my favorite Shun knife that they offer. The steel is good, the grinds are good and the handles are very nice. Price is good too.
The Masakagi is hand made in a small blacksmith shop. I love small artisans if you haven't figured this out by our selection so I always am attracted to this kind of knife over a knife made in a big factory. But that's just me.

ROY <> The biggest difference is size: the Shun is only 120mm on the edge, the Yuki is 155mm... that's well over an inch.
The second largest difference is the Shun is stainless-clad Blue #2, the Yuki is Stainless-clad White #2.
The Yuki is considerably harder, as well. Yuki 64 Hrc : Shun 61 Hrc
