What you want to do is type in the url of your picture. Then highlight the text and click the img button.
So say if this is my link to my picture

Code: Select all
https://i.imgur.com/kPuxHfX.jpg

Once you highlight it and lick Img it basically put before and after your link
Code: Select all
[img]https://i.imgur.com/kPuxHfX.jpg[/img]

I used the code tag so my random image would not be displayed. The Img tag will display whatever the raw size of the picture is. So where ever you are hosting the pic you might actually have to resize to make it smaller or it can be potential huge and the forum page will look messed up if its too wide.

Here is one of the pics you posted just formatted in the style above

here are my 3 Henckels knives. i bought them as a set at Target when the set was on sale for $20. i call them my beater knives because i can experiment and practice my sharpening without feeling bad if i totally destroy one, lol. on the close up of the tips of the utility and paring knife you can see the paring knife has the tip broken off and i plan on using the Kalamazoo belt sander to fix that one. the utility knife had an even larger tip breakage, probably a good 3/8" broken off. i already fixed that one on the belt sander. one was used as a screwdriver and the other as a pry bar (ouch :o ), but i won't mention any names!

It's modest but here's where I'm at. Some are fresher than others but they'll all wind up looking the same eventually. They're actually all mirror shiny on the edges, but lighting is weird.

I love the overall rustic look of the collection, Dino. Those knives look extremely well loved...

Thanks. After the past week, they're all rainbow colored now. Shiny steel knives are troubling to me.

Can't remember if I ever posted a pic, so here's my collection in all it's 4 knife glory. Missing is my bread knife and a couple old carbon cleavers in severe need of some TLC. Also I just mailed the Richmond to friends who are in dire need of a good knife and a little short on disposable income at the moment, so really it's just a 3 knife collection haha.

Dave - As a man who it appears values simplicity in his knife selection, how often do you use your nakiri? I've been kicking around the idea of adding one to handle the bulk of my veggie prep duties. Thx

I enjoy using my nakiri a lot. It will never replace a gyuto for me, but it's great for most veggie prep. I love the wide blade for scooping as well.

After I took it to the stones a second time starting at 1000 grit it is frighteningly sharp.
