Shave of the day!

Sun Jan 27, 2013 10:23 am

I figured this was still missing, so I thought to start a topic here. If this topic grows a lot, I might split it up into weekly posts.

Basically you portray your shave with a single photo.

Here's my SOTD for Saturday:

Strop: Kanayama 50000
Brush: Omega 636

MICHIEL <> Is your Jernbolaget Wedge reactive; it looks patina'd in the photo? And if so, do you care for her differently then your SS, do you oil her between shaves?

It's actually about to be rescaled and polished. It's the state I got it in. It has a very slight patina on the shank, but the picture makes it look worse than it actually is.

It is carbon steel, so it will take a patina. I tend to dry it off with a clean towel after use and store it just like my other razors. if I don't use them for a while, I'll put some mineral oil on them.
