I had my first straight edge shave today. It was like the aftermath of Christmas Massacre.

I will gather courage to try again as my face heal :)

I am only a few weeks in to this new addiction and today was my first ATG attempt on my ever troublesome neck. No blood and only mild discomfort but I still can't go ATG directly under my chin :( Stick with it, it's absolutely worth it! I used to view shaving as a 'chore' but now look forward to getting my face way smoother than I ever did before!! It's so relaxing to take the time and enjoy the pre-shave, work up a nice warm lather and learn how to shave all over again :) I've still got some 'reminders' of less successful attempts, but they're healing :D

Enjoy!

What do you think of the AOS preshave oil? I went to AOS and bought some and have been using it regularly and I appreciate the extra glide it gives but would be interested in your opinion. I am still wicked new to SR shaving and would definitely like to hear from some of you guys especially in regards to preshave. I seem to be alternating between either a mediocre neck or mediocre chin....haven't hit the jackpot of getting them both well (of course at that point i'd probably have a mediocre upper lip  )

Thanks and as always I really appreciate the few guys on here that keep this forum going!

CHRIS <> The consensus is that it's garbage. I do use it regularly as I have so much of it, & I find it is better than nothing. Honestly, I have only used one other, Taylor of Old Bond Street, of which I do find to offer a premium product... all around.
