Wow, thanks guys! I'm so glad this video went viral, because Konosuke makes one hell of a knife.
My intention is to create videos of these knives just simply showing the knives... and yes, attempting to show off every so often, at least as much as I safely can. But.. so many people have criticized these videos, talking about my skill. True, I'm no "text-book" kinda guy, but where else are you going to see a video of the knife you've been dreaming about. I know when I first got into this community it was hard as hell to see that $200+ investment in action before you buy it. So, after being inspired by some of the 'Dog's' videos (blown away by it!) I figured it'd be fun to make my contribution into this niche market. Glad to see that it's getting views, and good reviews. As long as you can make something fun, people will gravitate towards it. What my haters seem to forget is that the more people that get into this community, and buy knives, the more money for the whole industry to get bigger and better! More money for Research and Development of new products, extra capital to import new products, companies with more money able to make cheaper products... more customer feedback to improve products. So, I encourage everyone with a knife, and the will to have a little fun, and make a boring, cheesy knife video... go ahead and do a video! You don't need to go wild with technique, it's about the knife. My dream is to one day have videos of just about every knife made, cutting most kinds of ingredients, and all on Youtube for easy access. I have a dream.
