Sharpening my bread knives

Hi Chefknivestogo,

I would appreciate your assistance with regards to the following bread knives:

* MAC superior Bread Knife 10.5 Inch
* Tojiro 270mm ITK Bread knife.

Could you kindly recommend an appropriate sharpening stone for them? I have no prior experience with Japanese knives and also sharpening tools. Is there a hand held sharpener that would work with both knives?

The Mac one can also be sharpened up using a 3/16" dowel or metal rod with sandpaper wrapped around it. The ITK is easier to do on the corner of a stone.

Much easier and far more effective with powered equipment :D
