We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

I too like the Shapton Glass but I'm also a big Nubatama fan especially in the lower grits.
I find that the 120 Nubatama,220 black & pink (pink cuts a little quicker but the black gives a beautiful matte finish) ,then the 1K & 2Ks cut more aggressively (read quicker) than the Shaptons.
My technique using very little pressure and letting mud develop gives me fast results with small burr formation. They aren't quick to dish either so I'm happy with them.
I haven't tried the 10K or 15K Nuba's but the 5K,10K & 16K Shapton GS's do give a very nice polish to the edge.

I've got the 320, 500, 1k, 4k, and 8k set. I love this progression. I also think the 8k gives a very nice polished, but slightly toothy edge which I prefer.
