I made some saya's that fit either way. Easiest to do that with a 3 layer construction with a spacer :) But one that is obviously tapered, c'mon!

I've gotten wise to this and ask for a photo and invariably they're cramming the spine into the narrow side of the slot.

We're thinking about doing a quick instructional video to show people how to put on a saya. It seems dumb but I think it would help some customers that are new to them.

......wut?
Process of elimination should reveal that if it doesn't fit one way, turning it over would provide the solution.

I hope people are just yanking your chain, but I guess it doesn't hurt to be safe.

Awe man, I thought this was going to be a good tutorial on building sayas with lots of pics. I now leave disappointed, both from a visual loss and depreciating faith in humankind. (Actually people calling 911 because facebook was down kicked it down too)

I'm right there with you Matt on both points. Was hoping to see something cool and it was just another example of the deterioration of man's brain.

Those are nice Saya's Tim, quite the artist with wood and handles

I should have read your tutorial before I started my tutorial on the Leather one, never done a tutorial before and I noticed you cant edit either, beside the Language change to briefly do a quick edit

If anybody wants to try using leather here it is :

Just finished it today.
