Looking to replace a lost Kono White #2 210 gyuto but finding an actual kono white #2 gyuto for sale/trade has not been successful. The Sakai Yusuke 210 looks to be my next best bet in finding a replacement to what was integral part of my work kit - White #2, super light, wa lazer. Was wondering if anyone has used both and can give some insight and/or what the weight on a kono 210 white #2 is.

Without having both here to measure personally, I'm going to have to say they're pretty close. Both are "lasers" of similar construction. They should be very comparable knives.

Blade profile and geometry is almost identical. Yusuke edges out in handle f&f by an inch, also top notch packaging, which doesn't really matter. Yusuke kanji is only screened, not etched. I say, you cant go wrong with either.
