Recently purchased this knife...
5/5 stars, the edge came out of the box shaving sharp.
It's the perfect knife for someone like me. I'm a former butcher working on my culinary internship from the CIA.
I'm prepping between 30 to 50 pounds of produce daily for my internship, between this and my school pairing knife (next on the list to get replaced) I'm flying through prep, the balance is perfect for me, some people at work don't care for the long blade, but I LOVE this blade.
It feels like a natural extension of my hand when I'm working with it... incredible fast shipping (being in the twin cities for my internship probably helped the fast shipping)
Great knife, if you like 10inch or more blades and LOVE to use them, invest in this bad boy you won't be disappointed.

Congrats...I just can't understand why so many pro chefs spend so much time banging stamped blades over steels in hopes of getting an edge. I think your co workers are just jealous that you have a sword to work with.

I can't wait to use mine...have 3 deer to butcher tomorrow!!! The Kono HD Ultimatum and Kono White #2 300mm Suji are in the bag, along with a 240mm Artifex, Artifex Honesuki, 150mm petty and Boning knife, my custom boning knife and some stones! The Kono HD is just a nice beast of a blade, very light weight and awesome performance!
