+1 to what TAZ said about the R2 steel, I have been using a Kamo 240 for a while and the R2 has great edge holding ability and I am surprised how relatively easy it is to sharpen given the steel hardness @63. The Kamo is a robust workhorse and as Cheffiec mentioned is a good performing blade .
