Hi Sherry,

Sorry we ran out. We have 2 dozen more on order and they will show up in the next several weeks I hope but I never know exactly when they will ship them to me.

If you want an alternative try the Masakage Yuki. I love that knife. There are others of course. :) If you want a list I'll give you more.

Kind Regards,
Mark Richmond

Sherri - I have the Masakage Yuki 210 Gyuto. If you are looking seriously at the Goko knives, IMO you would LOVE the Yuki series. They are great knives!

Yeah, flip a coin.....but I like the Goko just a bit more aesthetically.

The Masakage Yuki does look like a really good knife, but I am curious on what other alternatives there are just because the Masakage is a little more expensive than what I originally was planning on spending on the Goko.
I do know how to sharpen my knives already, but currently I own a 1000 grit stone. I'm trying to save up for a 3000-5000 grit.
I've been looking also at the Kikuichi TKC, so I'm not limiting my options to just a white steel. I just want a knife that can be a work horse, can be very sharp, and isn't sensitive to rusting.

Adam, what do you think about the Richmond Ultimatum 245 Gyuto for Sherri?

The Ultimatum definitely fits the "workhorse" description. And is stainless.

Would be a good choice I'd reckon. I like the other two better per say....depends on what she's after exactly at that point. :)

The Kikuichi TKC is an excellent knife too. It should be back in stock soon.
