Mark (or anyone else), can you tell me whether the handle is plain ho wood or treated/lackered ho wood? Thanks!

Plain, raw Ho wood, with black Pakkawood ferrule. It doesn't look like buffalo horn to me.

The Hammered Damascus Gyuto is out of stock first of all. It's a Magnolia wood handle with a buffalo horn ferrule the magnolia handle is left raw but sanded to a 180-210 grit.

Feels very nice if you were wondering but it's a larger diameter than most.

EDIT: Ho wood is a type of Magnolia wood, but ho is a different species than Japanese magnolia
