hi there! names jonathan and i just graduated from le cordon bleu. i say that because my cousin is buying me a knife for a graduation gift. we are looking for something under 400 and awesome. i was looking at the takeda kiritsuke but i was wondering what you would recommend

Hi Jonathan,

If I were you I would consider the Takeda Gyuto. I like his tall gyutos better than his shorter slicing knives.

Or how about a custom Hiromoto AS? This is a great knife and would really be a great gift for yourself. It's special with a unique handle from Tim Johnson.

Custom hiro is a good choice.

You can buy a knife for 200 that performs like 800, so use your celebrity dough to get a saya and snazzy handle.
