They weren't in bad shape, so I just broke out the 320 and quickly raised a burr, then did 10 alternating strokes to abrade the burr a bit before running it through a felt block.
Same for the 1k, although I spent more time here to make sure I got a 1k scratch pattern, after that I just used the 2k exactly the same way and always ended with 10 alternating strokes (edge leading) to abrade the burr like I would do on the EP.
The 5k Bamboo is a fine stone. I need more time on it to push it to its full potential, but first impressions were very nice. Splash and go, not much slurry (unless you use single bevels or clad knives) and finish was good imo.
After the 5k bamboo I deburred on felt and stropped on 0.25µ HA spray on soft rolled horse butt.
Sharpening took 30 minutes. A bit slower than on the EP, but that's just my OCD checking the edge all the time
