I'll be posting WIP pics here.

Lets start this off with a sakimaru I've been working on.
1095 steel at 63.5 HRC
340mm/13.4in of awesome steeliness! :D

I etched the blade to check the hamon.

Here's a photo of the blade after some work. It's a bit hard to get a photo of the hamon without using a light box, so this will have to do for now.
It's hand sanded to 1000 on the flat and 400 on the road.

Gorgeous knife. Can't wait to see something about your handle process.

The hamon doesn't really tell much about the heat treat other than one part is harder. You can still get a hamon with an improperly HT'ed blade.

Work with stones, hand sanding, etching, repeat, repeat, repeat.
Still more work to be done.

I've done a couple of re-handles on Konosuke's from CKTG. Here are a couple of pics:

I used a heat gun and some patience to slide the stock handle off.

Image

This jig I made is a guide to square up the shoulders so the bolster has a flat, true surface to mate against.

Milling the bolster looks pretty much like this:

I spaced on taking photos through the rest of the process :( , but here are some finished pics:

The 240:
