Thought I'd bite the bullet and spring for the $90 Hand America strop kit since I don't have any real stropping experience.

That's OK BB. Thanks for the review and I know that Mark will get them back in stock eventually. I can wait. I have a big pile of newsprint that I can use for stropping.

Hi redstickboy,

I usually don't talk too much about HA products, here or anywhere, but I was touched by your interest and thought I might give you an update.

Within a day or so of this post Mark should have a bunch of kit components available, and an ample supply by next Tuesday to last for at least several weeks, maybe a month - we never know.

Thanks so much for your interest, it means a lot,

Keith

HA products sell FAST. When in stock, buy it. You never know how long they will be in stock.

I signed up for an email alert when the kits are in stock so hopefully I'll be on the list for one. I'm not familiar with the HA brand/products but trust <ark's judgement in matters like these. He hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I got to thinking that I amembarrassed to say that I know very little of the theory and practice of stropping! Just figured it was the next step in the learning process after water stones. Anyplace I could get a lesson on-line. I don't know the different stropping mediums other than by looking at CKTG and reading. Terrible to be old and ignorant both!
