I got a message from my Kohetsu supplier today with some good news on a long awaited (18 months) couple items.

Dear Mark,

It has taken too long time, but I just shipped 36each x Kohetsu AS Honesuki

& Nakiri by FedEx today.

Attached please find the necessary shipping documents.

After this shipment, 30pcs x Sujikiri only still remain out of your first order,

as you can check to see by the copy of our Sales Note No.121219R.

I continuously push hard to make it ship sooner.

I also attach herewith our Debit Note No.121219R-5 covering this shipment.

I hope that you will receive it without any delay in good condition.

With kind regards.

Dr. O

They're on order. I was told about 2 months from when I placed it but that was a guess.

It's a sickness Jeff. I can't stop myself. I need a 12 step program.

Looks like a new Yamashin just hit, in Blue #1 no less. The photos look unnervingly like the old Tsutomu Kajiwara damascus octagon-handle knives. Are those just placeholders or does it bear such a striking resemblance?

We are certainly not complaining! The new stuff is fantastic.

I'll be honest, I'm amazed how fast you are to respond to our requests. It's nice knowing you're actively hunting down our favorite shinies.

Thinking about picking up Tadatsuna gyutos again. They're nice lasers and we had them for a couple years but I didn't like the distributor that sold them so I dumped the line. Now, another guy is representing them so I may go back in.
