"I'm also going to get the Kitayama baseless as well" Yeah! Just now enough money to buy all of the great offerings! Really Mark, you need to stop finding the best products with the best prices ;)

I pulled those little black plastic pieces off of the top of and base and it drains quicker, but still a PITA.

Baseless +1 Pretty unanimous so far.

Personally, I think a base is only good for a beginner stone, or if you have only 1 or 2 stones; Otherwise they just get in the way.

Yeah this actually solves a problem I've been having. I was going to start a thread for suggestions on how to housebreak my Rika.

Baseless would actually mean it fits in my toolbox, which would mean I can have all my good stones and stuff with me at the market. You know, in case someone brings in some legit yanagiba. /laugh

I should have these in 35 days.

This is one of these doofus moments. I don't know why it took me 2 years to figure this out. I'm stupid sometimes.

These will be in soon. They've made it across the pacific and are on the road to us.

Maybe a base could be included but not attached?
