The Takagi Honyaki is another one that is more substantial and would compliment your Ikeda: http://www.chefknivestogo.com/tagy241.html

Please don't put words in my mouth Glen (Mowgface). You guys can talk about knives all you want including knives you have from other sources and I'm not uptight about it at all. Posting videos like that are fine.

A while back I told Glen to please not do direct sales to my competitors with recommendations and links attached to his posts to other stores, which he was doing frequently.

If I have a problem with a member posting something I'm more than happy to tell them.

That was a rad video.

Mark, what is your opinion of the Kato 210 you have?

Mark, thanks for your clarification above on your policy. Seems very reasonable.

They are thick up top with great grinds and very thin behind the edge. I love his stuff. I'm really happy I'm able to get them and was a little disappointing that I was not able to squeeze a visit into my schedule when I go over to Japan next week. Maybe next year.

Also, that video of him working is one of the best knife making videos I've seen. Great stuff.

My apologies for the misunderstanding Mark.

Anyways, just watch the Kato video and WOW what a well put together video it was. Unfortunately, his knives are bit out of reach for me, financially.
