We just got the new Richmond Lasers in and they look sweet. I have to work on getting them handled so you should see them start popping up soon.

Here's what we've got:

150mm Petty
210mm Gyuto
270mm Gyuto
270mm Suji

My petty arrived today and my initial impression is entirely favorable. Purchased to provide a SS "partner" to my Moritaka petty, I was pleased to find it has a slightly smaller profile/length and thinner. Nice fit and finish. Shaved arm hair out of the box and just a few strokes on a ceramic rod quickly improved it sufficient to my desires for kitchen knives.

All it was used for today was to prep vegetables for a salad, but I can say the finish and thinness combine to give it exactly the improved (lack of) drag I had hoped versus the rougher finish of the Moritaka.

Very enjoyable addition to my knife block. Thanks, Mark, for marketing these.

About to handle some. Man these knives have thin grinds. Really really nice.. Kono-like thinness. They are winners big-time! I'm sure Aaron can agree also. (speaking of which!)

I've had mine a year and it is truly awesome.

Very thin behind the edge and an excellent grind.

My go-to knife.

When are some aogami lasers gonna start showing up? I'm interested in the 240 and the petty. They look amazing. I'm currently using a a yoshishiro 240 blue steel #2. It's a great knife but terrible for chopping. Looking to get into a knife that is great for all cutting styles.
