Hi folks,

I've been talking to some of the mods about doing vendor forums on here. Do you think this is something you would like to see?

Mark,
As I've said if you let the dynamics of the market drive the forum without vendor interference you will receive more of an independent view of your product line.

Anyone can PM a vendor and if they like post the reply if it contains viable info.

I've been in this business for over 17 years and I can talk about my products all day long but at some point that becomes passive advertising.

Let the customers tell the story.

Keith

I have individual forums in several places and have found that it's a nice place for people who are already fans of my work to congregate and see what I'm up to.

but it can QUICKLY make the forum experience much more cluttered.

maybe a forum for the custom makers you work with to all associate would be better than a bunch of individual forums.

Keith and I were talking about this yesterday. Maybe we should have vendor forums for customer questions. Just like I set up for sharpening questions and knife questions.

This way it would be more customer driven. Just a thought. I could ask some of the guys I deal with if they would be interested. I could ask the Japanese makers to come over and answer stuff about their knives....

I like the idea of a place for venders to answer questions regarding their products.
