there was a chinese lady with a pallet covered by a huge pile of pork bellys and ribs. i tried to exchange word with her with no luck. kinda zealous. she didnt like me fidgeting around her catch.

i went late and the fish stands where a little sad. being lent over here, most of the good fish, gets sold between 6 and 7 am.

Ah, yes, the early morning fish market. There's something about that fish smell, mixing with coffee and way too early o'clock...

As for what we get to see, I spy, with my little eye guanciale. Also included in picture: a pig skull that I'm going to boil out and use as a kitchen mascot for a few months. Southerners really do use everything but the oink.
