Mel - Indeed the Tshell is real and original. I just love the pattern and color in them.
Yes like Shark already said its for traktion when pulling the skin. It works very well and something i do recommend to try, makes things much easier. Just wet the fingers and rubb on the alum.

Shark - Did you get your brush, have not hurd anything from you or if your happy with it.

Yes I did. Sorry about not replying. I have to admit that the first 2 times I used it, I wasn't entirely happy with it. It is wicked stiff and not a ton of loft. However, I stuck with it for a couple weeks and got used to it. Last week I decided to switch back to my old Simpson and oh man....it feels like a floppy paintbrush!! I immediately went back to the Neep and have been enjoying it greatly. I have fairly coarse facial hair and its pretty thick around my chin. The Neep really penetrates the stubble and provides a TON of 'scritchiness'. I think you may have ruined me Magnus...I can't see going back to a floppy, high lofted brush ever again!! And, oh yeah, its a real looker :)

I am extremely happy with the brush and the transaction in general!!

Thank you very much.

Chris

Razor: Bengall Cast Steel
Brush: Rod Neep custom 26mm
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS: AoS Sandalwood

First shave with this razor. I spent about 5 hours hand sanding and polishing it to an acceptable level then another couple hours (tops) honing it. Wonderful shave!!! Very smooth with almost zero AS burn.

Yeah, I finally have something else to put in a pic  It gets old taking pics of the same creme, same brush, etc... As many damn razors as I have, I should be posting daily!
