I'm still way low on posts, but I'm surprised to see so many votes for Gyutos. I only have 2 and don't see a need for another any time soon. I know most of you have so many more than that! I thought people would vote for knives they wouldn't buy otherwise, or something they actually needed.

btw, I voted for petty because it's what I am ready to upgrade. But who are we kidding, I pretty much need (read "want") everything on the list.

Well guys, just for shits and giggles I just changed my vote!
With 53 votes cast, Gyuto and Suji are now dead even!
Even Pimp Daddy cast a vote!
The poll did much better this month, I am sure Mark will read it before he decides.

More gyuto wins. I'll do a suji next time. This one will run for 1 week.

Thanks Mark you made a great pick!
I won't put up another poll next week since you already stated you are going to do a Suji.
After the Suji runs, I can do another poll, this one did much better, and hopefully acts as a gauge of Forum interest.

Well it's official, I need help, Lol. I have the J Knife disease bad. I don't need another Gyuto, but I'm probably gonna pick this one up anyway. Heck I haven't even received my Hap 40 Gyuto I ordered in the mail yet and I'm already buying another Gyuto. Is purchasing 5 Gyutos in a month excessive?

If you don't have a carbon KU 240 Gyuto, the Tanaka is IMO a very nice and good performing example of this style. At the special price, it's a great way to get into this kind of knife to learn carbon care and/or sharpening.

I have the same problem. I seem to go from one "hobby" to another. Had to give up on the car for a little bit while I renovated my house, then finally had a kitchen I wanted to cook in, so knives and kitchen stuff is still making me bleed, haha. what do you drive, if I may ask?
