I got word from Naniwa that I though I would share with you.

First: They're instituting MAP pricing. This is basically where they set the price and if a retailer deviates from this price we get in trouble. If you mess with them too much they will just drop you as an account. Many of our suppliers do this so it's not a big deal. I actually like it because it avoids price wars and complaints from customers if competitors discount. It's not so good for you guys other than it makes shopping easier.

Second: They are raising prices about 20% across the board.

Third: They are making the Choseras 2mm thick which is a lot thinner than the ones we offer now.

All this is happening later this year. They still have old stock but by late spring we'll be transitioning into the new pricing and stock. The new items will have different looking boxes. I'll try and order a bunch of the old stock so I can delay the inevitable as long as possible. I just don't have that much room in our office to hoard.

The moral of this story is if you were thinking about getting a chosera or super stone try and buy them before the end of May.

2mm thick Choseras?? Are you sure? You obviously meant 2cm, mine were originally 2.5cm thick.
