Really awesome machine! I just got my pro pack yesterday and since then I have been figuring it out (pretty simple) and sharpening. The stones took about 10 knives to really break in well enough to where I got satisfying edges. After that, they keep getting better! I have gotten hair whittling edges on CPM-M4, VG-10, and ZDP-189 since the stones have broken in. Also, congrats on the Accessory of the year at Blade show

Got my WE on Monday and sharpened two thrift store knives yesterday with excellent results. This morning I got brave and decided to try my two CCK's. The little knife took a great edge at 15 degrees with stropping. The 1303 cleaver did even better at 10.90 degrees. Tropped with 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3,000 grit wet paper, then leather, then phone book paper. This has the sharpest edge that ever drew my blood..painlessly.

Thanks for all your help with my confusion Mark and Clay!

I'm having lots of fun now that my knives will no longer be "sharp challenged". I'm happy to be another sharpening crazy!

I'm glad to hear it mrsupport! My CCK veggie cleaver (picked up here in CKTG) is a joy with a Wicked Edge on it.

Thanks, I plan to try better knives. Right now my two Shuns aren't as sharp as my cck cleaver. This is going to be too much fun!
