It's a nice improvement imo. The handle seems a tad narrower too and I really like that compared to the AEB-L first run.

Sharpening it later today and then we'll see it's true power :-)

Haven't used the New 52-100 fanatic that much, but so far the Moritaka wins for me. Zero stiction, very nice wide grind, holds a great edge and it's dead flat. If you don't like dead flat cleavers, go for the AEB-L fanatic. If you do, both the 52-100 Fanatic and Moritaka will serve you well.
