Mark, I have a question about those knife guards. Will the 8'' fit the new kohetsu blue#2, and will the 10'' fit de kohetsu AS 240mm? Thank you very much!

I should fit quite well. Be noted these knife guards hold well on knives without a bolster but knives with bolsters tend to slide a little more.

a 210mm is 8.5 inches roughly so go with the larger size and cut it down if you need be.

If you wanted a better product I highly recommend the victorinox magnet ones, I got one of them at a local kitchen supply store and they work much better than the CKTG, although the ultimate in blade protection is a saya.

Do the magnet cover leave marks or scratch like plastic ones do?

Yeah, nothing like the plastic guards scratching a nice patina.
