For the most part if the item is on the site we are going to get them again. One of the challenges with dealing with small makers is you rarely can place an order and get immediate shipping (unlike companies like Wusthof). It's a problem I think is worth dealing with for me even though I get tons of questions about stock and shipping schedules.

Also it's getting more difficult. Many of my suppliers have gone from 30 days out to 180 over the past year. It's super difficult to try and manage inventory when you are predicting order volume that far in advance. For instance I just placed an order for more TKC since we have about a months supply left. They told me to look for them in October which was quite a shock. Tojiro told me 6 months on my most recent order when it's normally 60 days etc...
