Yeah, I figured as much. Maybe I'll just stick it out until the fabled HAP-40 knives make their appearance to a fanfare of trumpets with choirs of angels. Brief research shows that HAP-40 is very similar to M4, which is simply awesome.

And FWIW, I do love the White #1 Fujiyama Gyuto.
