She's cooking for you, that's love.
Regardless of how the food turns out.

My girlfriend knows that if I put in a 14 or 16 hour day cooking and I come home to Mac and Cheese with hotdogs, it's STILL heaven.

+1 on what Mark, NMiller, and Kalaeb said. Hey, at least she used a steak knife and not something nicer :-).

I do know where you're coming from, but I've learned to hold my tongue unless my wife's about to make a dangerous decision on something ITK (rarely happens). She has her knives, I have mine. We share a Tojiro DP 210 and I haven't bugged her yet about the occasional dings on the edge. I can sharpen those out ;-).

When I first got married, my wife tried to "master" Steamed Pork short rib in black bean sauce. She cooked the same dish everyday for two weeks. To this day, I am not too enthusiastic about short ribs.... and I stop trying to get her cook ;)

When I first met my wife her best meal was a very nice pressure cooked beef roast with no spices.

HAHA I liked Jeff B's first suggestion, keep her chained to a post in the basement. ;)

I do all the work in the kitchen. Anytime she goes in there it's more work for me. And more breakage, cuts, etc.

It works for us. Besides she's a vegetarian, so she doesn't - and can't cook meat anyhow.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to buy another knife and some coarse stones :)

Here is the secret to marital bliss, it's six words.
"You're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry"

While it took me 20 years to realize this it is now 34 years and the road has been very smooth ever since I realized resistance is futile.
