Hi! Good day,

I'm just curious about the bar? or chart in the etchings of the knife, I don't know what to call to that but I'll show a picture of what I'm talking about.

Can someone explain what's the purpose of this chart or bar thing in the knife.

I believe it's a code for the manufacturer to notate the production batch or date the knife was made (on an actual knife some of the boxes can/will be filled in).

Date of manufacturing. Wusthof has the same type of date code.
