Okay, I'm gonna come in here and ask to give the customer some slack. Those of us on the site regularly know that it's clear when at item is not in stock. But that may not be so obvious to a newcomer. (Though I think asking, "Do you have (knife name) in stock?" would have been a better way to phrase it.)

I think that was the reason for my "Odd question" remark....to guarantee it would be in stock.

Oh, well, I guess I kind of could see where the question was coming from....just confirming it was in stock.

When I first read it, it sounded like they wanted a guarantee it'd be in stock in the future. :)

If you want it, get it. Now. I missed out on a Konosuke Blue #2 Fujiyama Funayuki Gyuto because I thought about it too long. If it doesn't say "out of stock" then there may be only one and the next time you look it does say "out of stock" and then you don't know when more will come in. In my case, I "settled" for a White #1 Fujiyama Gyuto, which was kinda like settling for a Ferrari instead of a Lamborghini. But that's the beauty of CKTG - there's always something else available or more coming if you're willing to wait.
