Mr. Richmond,

You did it again - the Boron Carbide paste arrived yesterday; I put it
to work that evening; It is remarkably excellent. I am actually very
excited about this product - and think that it can replace my
"Middleweight" finishing stones (10 - 16k grit Japanese equivalent)in
the majority of cases (assuming the bevel is acceptably defined)....
This product is superior in "evenness" of application and performance
to the other sprays, pastes & rouges I use/have used in the past....

[BTW: It is actually nice to see a product that is not a dull green,
odd maroon red or milky white color. That may be an odd point - but
aesthetics can be useful.]

MY QUESTION: I see this product as a *good beginning* - do you plan to
offer it in other micron/grit equivalents? I can see an obvious use
for .5 & .25 micron variants.

Thank You,

~Robert.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the compliment on Keith's paste. I'll pass it along to him. His pastes and sprays have changed the way many people sharpen including me. The boron carbide is my go to strop additive and I've pretty much decided on it for most of my sharpening unless I'm testing.

I don't know if he's interested in doing another version. He keeps pretty busy with the products he's offering now to me and several other retailers so I don't know if he wants to expand the line.

Right now Ken offers some in 3k, , 5k and 8k equivalents. They work exceptionally well at a great price. I use mine on Kanagaroo.

Sadden -

I did not see those online, need to PM Ken to see if I can get a dose of that "crack" as well... Very nice indeed...
Many thanks for making me aware of this part of his lineup!

Just talking to Ken here , he got the PSD back from some new Boron Carbide I have been waiting on for a couple weeks now.

0.5 micron.

So for those of you wanting something a little finer in the form of Boron Carbide there is a solution sooncoming. I already placed my order :)

How does boron carbide compare to diamonds/crox? specifically for razors?
