I'll be posting miscellaneous updates and WIPs in this thread.
Bit of an introduction first! I started making knives 2 years ago (October 2011), and since then I have finished about 15 or so. I'm a slow worker, since I'm a full-time engineering student. Being a student soaks up a lot of my time already, but I'm also the fabrication director for a really active club there where we design, build, and compete with a small scale formula style car. I'm at school 7 days a week from morning until night.
I have really big aspirations for knives. I love it, but also hate it at the same time. It's incredibly frustrating and tiresome, but for whatever reason I'm driven mad to improve as much as I can. In the future I dream of going full-time, but there are so many different possibilities that I'm never exactly sure.
Anyways, onward to some actual WIP stuff! You may have seen some of my updated shop pics.
This is the power hammer at my community college. It does OK, but it's slowly starting to die out sadly (nobody there takes care of it, and after so many years it's feeling the fatigue).
Here are the 3 knives I'm working on right now. They are so close, yet so far - finishing them is always the longest process.
And here I am crawled up inside the actual frame of the car I mentioned, TIG welding upside down.
