This is the name we gave to when international packages have cleared customs in Chicago but then there is no further tracking information. Sometimes weeks can pass before there is any updated tracking information. People often think their package is lost at this point, but that's rare. We think it has to do with how backed up customs is in the country. It can be frustrating to wait and some customers ask at their local POs but that never seems to help much since the package needs to be released from customs and the local POs have no access to that information.

I can count the number of lost international packages we've had on two fingers and I might be exaggerating. No kidding!

The only thing you can do is be patient and wait. No easy task I know. The vast majority of international packages get delivered within 14 business days.

Well, we just had lunch but if you must know I'm planning fish (will decide what kind at fish market) served with stir fry of baby bok choy and morels. Guaranteed delicious!

Sounds good!

For any Belgian customers;

You can call Bpost and they can see where your package is located at customs. Sadly, they can't say how long it will take them to clear it.

Over the years, I must have shipped 1000's of packages and it really depends country by country. Once, it took 3 days to get to France but to Brazil, regularly 1-3 month. Anything that ships via small-box flat rate ($12.95) that comes with tracking #, actually never tracks!
