So im giving my arms a rest but im trying my first ceramic knife. She needed a serious reprofile (figure is was 40-45 dps when I started..) Knocking it down to 20dps using atomas , then im gonna work my way into kens diamond films. Very interesting so far. The mud almost has a pinkish tinge to it. Ill get back with results tonight or tomorrow :)

Love to hear how it works out and the time it takes. If I had a better sharpening solution, I'd likely use my ceramics a little more.

I'm interested in the result. I've never sharpened my 1 ceramic knife.

Do you basically need diamond plates for sharpening ceramics or would Shaptons or JNats work as well? Just curious, I don't plan on sharpening one but would like the knowledge.

Heres what she looks like after a full progression from the 140 - 1200 atoma , and then from the 15 micron diamond film too the 0.5 Micron Diamond Film

I have pictures of each step , just need to sort them out on my photobucket because when I uploaded them the tags didn't follow...

Thank you , still sorting out my individual pics of each part of the progression , but at this level pictures were getting very difficult because of the lighting , and the surface texture was just getting too fine for me to be able to tell a difference on my veho. Im still figuring the Veho out , I cant seem to get down below 20 or 30x without losing focus
