I must have missed this one . . . time to bring it back up to the top.

Born in Findlay, Ohio but have lived in Texas for 30 years. Currently live in a suburb of Austin, called Pflugerville, Texas!

I was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. When I was 4, Castro and the Russians caused my father to be moved to active duty in the Army; we spent a year in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, followed by 3 years in Wildflecken, Germany, where my Dad's job was to vaporize selected targets with tactical nukes should the Russians and East (at the time) Germans have decided to come through the Fulda Gap on their way to the North Sea. After that it was El Paso, then Fort Carson (Colorado Springs), Colorado, and 5 years in Frankfurt, Germany. Then I shuttled between college on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and Fort Ord (Monterey), California. I worked in a lab in San Antonio for a year killing frogs. I thought San Antonio was hot, but discovered what heat and humidity really were during 4 years in Galveston followed by 2 years in New Orleans, mostly spent in Charity Hospital using tiny but extremely sharp little knives on people. Then it was back to San Antonio for another year, after which I spent 19 years in wonderful Shreveport, Louisiana. My (current) wife and I finally managed to escape 7 years ago and fled to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We spent 3 years in Plano, and are now pondering where to go from Rockwall.

Jnani, that's an interesting read.....mine reads about the same:

Dad joined Army when I was in Kindergarten

Move to Junction City, KS where dad was stationed at Fort Riley

Left Fort Riley, KS for Baumholder Germany

Left Baumholder back to Fort Riley

Left Fort Riley back to Germany....Neu Ulm this time

Left Fort Riley to go to Fort Bliss (El Paso, TX)....gawd I hated that town

Dad retired in Fort Bliss and we moved back to Nebraska where we're from originally.
