It's been a busy/stressful past few weeks. New positions were posted at work and I applied for 2 of them, so I had 3 interviews last week. Tomorrow, I have to go do a deposition for a court case where I witnesses a Police K-9 Dog Bite, so I may also have to go testify in court soon as well. But I did get some things finished up!
It was very sunny this morning when I tried to get pics:
This shows the handles better before they were Tung Oiled and before the blades were cleaned up:
Rehandled a MAC Bread Knife in Curly Koa:
Thinned out an Addict and made a new Wa handle for it out of Black Titanium M3 material for the ferrule and Blue Redwood Burl for the handle:
Ground out one of my fillet knife prototypes in AEB-L to make myself a nice boning knife. Curly Koa handle:
Ground out and handled some knives for a Rabbi in NY to use for slaughtering animals so that they are Kosher. 17.5" cutting edge on the top 2, bottom one just needed a new handle. Brown Canvas Micarta on the top, Black Canvas Micarta on the bottom 2 handles. I ended up grooving the sides of the handles with a checkering file and also grooving the top side of the handle as well for more traction.
On the plate is new mahogany handles for 2 scimitars, Dojo 100mm petty converted to accept a previously made Buff Horn/Ho handle, Tanaka G3 petty thinned and rehandled in Micarta/Olivewood, rehandle a Kochi Migaki 240mm gyuto and a saya for a 300mm gyuto.

Once again a mad man. But didn't you tell me that you were going to be doing another handle for that crazy guy who always has you doing using all of the pain in the butt materials
LOL, yeah, waiting on the Nickel Silver to arrive for yours Aaron! Got some new woods in yesterday as well, including yellow/gold Buckeye Burl and some awesome ironwood! You may want to rethink the snakewood
I agree Melampus!! The Artifex and Addict really perform differently when they are ground a bit thinner and converted to a wa style tang/handle. I found the G10 handles are a bit heavier than the older Micarta or Dymondwood handles and converting to a Wa really changes how they feel for the better! Just ask Aaron
