Customer sent me a 240mm HD2 Funy for a rehandle in African Blackwood and Amboyna burl. It was a little of a challenge; the amboyna had some nice sapwood, but it was at the corner of the block and we didn't know how deep it went into the handle. So I glued everything up and then cut a flat on the corner and then resquared the block off of that flat so the majority of the sapwood would be on the top of the handle.

You do some really nice work Tim. I'm really liking that tapered handle on that Artifex. I'm hoping to buy a HD2 in the near future and you can guarantee it will be making a visit to you!

I was surprised at how long the tang was on this knife, over 4" long. I kinda like the Funy profile of the blade; it's similar to the KS profile, but a little narrower tip. One of these days my 300mm Kono White #2 suji is getting new shoes!

Just when I thought I had spent enough on knives...

That handle really brings the knife to life -- the look is so sophisticated compared to the stock handle, even with a blonde ferrule.

This is just about what I am looking for I think Tim. Perfect proportions, positioning, and look for what I'd like. Beautiful work.

Ok, I will pull the measurements before I ship it out! We shortened the handle a little to help bring the balance point forward of the heel of the knife.
