Hi:
I received this knife today.
It is beautiful and feels great in my hand, can not wait to put it to the board tonight.
I really like rounded spines and heels. Would it be unwise to take 180, 400, 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper to round them on this knife?
Will this lead to premature wear of the kurouchi finish?
Thanks for your input.
Rick

I think it should be okay. It will obviously remove any KU finish where you hit it with the sandpaper, but it shouldn't affect any areas past that.
