Two very different knives really.

Of the two, no other criteria....Goko. I really like that knife. Handle is a joke, but the blade is very nice.

Addict is really nice as well....nicer handle for sure, finished pretty well.

At the end of the day they're perform similarly....but I like the Goko for it's personality.

No, it's just crappy. Burnt wood (which isn't bad) but then a plastic ferrule. Never understood plastic ferrule's on nice knives.

It will certainly be better than the Yamashin though....at least of the one's I've seen from both makers. But nothing as nice as the Addict.

The pre order is that you buy it now, but it won't ship until it is in stock. I don't know if there is an ETA or not.

There is no real way for Mark to know. He thought they would be in the US in about a month or so a few weeks ago when he posted the Pre Sale, but they need to have handles installed and maybe even made on them first. Not sure if they are changing to Kanji or not, that may delay it as well. International shipping is a royal PITA, and may take a day or two to 3 or 4 weeks (or more) to clear Customs and stuff. Much of these delays are completely out of Mark's control. Mark doesn't like Pre Sale's because of the unknown delay factors that he has no control over. He did it with the Lasers because they flew out of stock so quickly, this way people could buy it and reserve it and guarantee getting one of the next batch, but there really isn't a known ETA yet. It may be a few weeks, it may be a few months. Mark may have a better date in mind once he gets the knives in hand and starts the handle process.
