I have been playing with all my straights for so long my girlfriend has been really pissed w/me in that I had yet to use my Christmas gift. I was in a rush this morning, as always, and I wanted to use a straight but I knew I didn't have time. So out came the Chrome plated Merkur Double sided-safety razor. I did my typical steam towel start, applied AOS lavendar pre-shave, lather up Bald Frog shave soap on a 24mm brush from the Firehouse Potter, witch hazel astringent application, TOBS aftershave cologne.

...you know I'm kidding; that was funny.

The best part of the gift was the stand that I use for my real razors & mac daddy MGD brush. ;)

The shave wasn't incredibly close, but my face looked like a consistent shave. It didn't leave any razor burn, either. That thin ass blade definitely has a unique feeling that I anticipate getting off the Featherette. We'll see.

Today's Shave was Very relaxing, i did two passes WTG,ATG. I had my green coticule finnish on the MK8 and was very pleased with everything, also trail run with the La Troja soap and it was outstanding, great lather and MUCH. i was suprised it was so good. and i like the scent aswell, not so powerful and just perfect. putting this soap to my rotation for sure.
