The Takeda is reaaallly nice - like the hight at the heel
Just wondering if I am going to use Father's Day as an excuse to get another knife.
If you were to go up in quality and pleasure of use in this same gyoto style what would you recommend ?

I don't really know of any knife that's a step up in the Takeda style. Kind of the end game with him IMHO.

If you like a really wide gyuto, KU finish, carbon steel knife....yep, he's the end game as far as I'm concerned.

I'm actually stumped what to recommend as a second gyuto right now. I guess I'd have to recommend a different style all together. Something like a Kono HD or a Fujiwara Nashiji:

I don't know that it would a step up in quality though....I really like Takeda's gyuto's. It would just be different IMHO.
